Welcome to this site - where a successful and talented watercolour teacher - based in Derby, UK - describes how she could help to develop your watercolour techniques and so become a more successful painter.
If you have...
... then I can help you to fulfil your potential as a watercolour painter.
Let me take the challenge out of watercolour painting
I am a patient art teacher (a retired
primary teacher with lots of special needs teaching experience).
I would love to help you to learn all the techniques needed to develop your
artistic talents - all of those important things that the books and videos gloss
over or miss out.
I will tell you why it is best to do it this way and what might go wrong if
you don't.
I have a wide knowledge of artists products and can recommend good value paints,
brushes and papers to suit your painting needs.
My watercolour lessons are varied and interesting and are tailored to your needs
where possible.
Location & Classes
My studio is 4 miles from Derby city
centre and is easily reached by public transport or by car.
I have run classes in Beeston (near Nottingham) for both children and adults and
classes at a local Community Centre.
See Teaching above for more
details of these classes and my teaching methods.
SAA - Gold Member
For some years I have held Gold membership
of the SAA (Society
for All Artists) which gives me access to many and varied educational and
resource materials to assist in my teaching.
The above link will take you to my section of their web site where you can see
some examples of my work.
Please explore this site to see if this is the way you would like to develop your skills with watercolours.
I am not a commercial artist but
there are samples of my work in the Gallery section.
My main drive is the thrill of teaching - watching someone develop into an independent
and successful watercolour painter.

Thank you,
